We are seeking a Senior Automation Developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications solutions that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual processes across the organization.
The role primarily focuses on designing and delivering applications solutions using the Mendix low‑code platform, with an emphasis on building scalable, high‑quality applications that streamline business processes. The successful candidate will work in an Agile Scrum environment, collaborating closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into effective Mendix solutions. Experience with RPA technologies such as UiPath or Automation Anywhere is considered a plus.Key Responsibilities
Application Development
  • Design, develop, test, maintain and deploy applications using Mendix
  • Build scalable and reusable applications components following development best practices.
  • Integrate applications solutions with internal systems using APIs, databases etc.
  • Coaching team members and performing peer reviews.
Process Analysis & Solution Design
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyse processes and identify applications opportunities.
  • Translate business requirements into technical applications solutions.
  • Contribute to process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
Agile Delivery
  • Work within a Scrum-based agile framework to deliver applications solutions.
  • Participate actively in Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Work with Product Owners to refine requirements and estimate development efforts.
BAU Support & Maintenance
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing applications solutions.
  • Monitor applications performance and resolve incidents or production issues.
  • Implement enhancements and improvements to existing applications when required.
Documentation & Governance
  • Maintain clear technical and process documentation for applications solutions.
  • Ensure solutions follow internal standards, governance policies, and security practices.
  • Contribute to the improvement of applications development standards and reusable frameworks.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
  • Experience with low-code platforms such as:
o Mendix / Out system / Power Automate / Appian or comparable technology
  • Experience integrating systems using REST APIs, web services, and databases.
Agile & Collaboration
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
Soft Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives
  • Proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement
Experience & Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in application development.
  • Experience using Azure, Devops, API and JIRA
  • Proven experience delivering applications solutions using low-code technology.
Preferred:
  • Mendix certification
  • Experience in RPA - specifically UiPath or Automation Anywhere .
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure or similar).
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (such as Docker and Kubernetes) will be considered an advantage.
