Under the supervision of the Senior and at a higher level of the Supervisor and the Managers, you will assist more senior employees in general accounting tasks such as bookeeping, tax compliance (VAT & other French taxes) and financial statements preparation.Key Responsibilities
- Collection & control of accounting information from clients
- Making simple entries into accounting system and making basic reconciliations, including: Accounts payable & accounts receivable (invoices & credit notes), Banks, Employees expenses, Payroll statements
- Preparation of tax returns
- Assistance with any other tasks handled by more senior people (client's reports, cut off, tax declarations, annual financial statements …)
- Reporting proactively and on time to Senior and supervisor
- Timely submission of all output of his/her work to appointed accountant/senior for checking,
- Assistance in internal project (automation, continuous improvement, trainings …)
- Any other tasks assigned by the supervision
- Degree in Accounting
- 1 year of previous experience in a similar position
- Strong knowledge of English and French (B2 - C1)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of French GAAPs is a plus
- Energetic, well organized, and meticulous
- Communicate information in a clear and concise manner (verbal and written work) to both internal and external stakeholders
- Able to meet expectations, deadlines, and commitments
- High Integrity; trustworthy, dependable, and able to deal confidentially
- Strong understanding of processes needed to undertake role successfully
- Capacity to adapt to diverse situations, stakeholders, and technologies in a scalable environment
- Home working 3 days per week
- Travelling Allowance: 3000 MUR per month
