About Our ClientOur client is an international organisation within the hospitality sector, recognised for its operational excellence and high service standards. To reinforce its finance capabilities, the group is seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to assist the Financial Controller and oversee critical accounting operationsJob DescriptionThe Assistant Financial Controller will play a key role in managing the Finance Department and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Assist the Financial Controller in overseeing the day-to-day management of the Finance Department.
  • Supervise key accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Income Audit, and General Ledger.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Monitor cash flow and ensure appropriate financial controls are in place.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to budgeting processes and cost-control initiatives across the property.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
  • Liaise with banks, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Provide guidance to finance team members to ensure high-quality work output.
The Successful ApplicantThe ideal candidate will have:
  • A Diploma or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • CA/CPA qualification considered an advantage.
  • 3-5 years of post-qualification experience, including at least 2 years in a similar role.
  • Experience within a large international hotel or resort environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, and internal controls.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to supervise and develop team members.
  • Strong social skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
