About Our ClientOne of the leading hospitality groups in the Indian OceanJob Description· Prepare monthly management accounts and annual financial statements in line with IFRS requirements.· Maintain general ledger with accurate transaction postings.· Ensure timely reporting to meet the Group standards and deadlines.· Assist the Financial Controller in the preparation of yearly budget, quarterly forecast and the 3-year plan.· Manage debtors and creditors, including timely follow-ups and reconciliations.· Ensure timely statutory submissions including CSG, PAYE, TDS, VAT, Corporate Tax and APS on MNS or other relevant regulatory bodies.· Responsible for the accuracy, completeness and reliability of the accounting records and compliance with IFRS.· Ensure internal controls are in place and that existing policies and procedures are adhered to.· Monitor hotel revenues, costs, and key performance metrics and variance analysis.· Assist Internal Auditors, External Auditors, Financial Institutions, MRA and other Statutory Bodies.· Ensure supervision of payments, receipt vouchers, bank deposits, cash registers, bank and intercompany reconciliations.· Perform other related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.The Successful ApplicantDegree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - ACCA/ACA qualified or working towards a qualification.Minimum 3 years of experience in a financial accounting role, preferably within hospitality or service industries.Sound knowledge of accounting standards and local financial regulations.Experience in accounting for Homeowners will be an advantageProficiency in financial software (e.g., Oracle/ Opera) and MS Excel.Ability to work under pressure and effectively handle multiple priorities, organise workload and meet deadlines.Good analytical skills with attention to details when working with figures.High level of integrity and professionalism.Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.What's on OfferThis Financial Accountant role represents a fantastic opportunity to advance your career.
