- Accounting Experience in mining sector
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Manage month-end and year-end financial close processes efficiently.
- Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of accounts, including bank reconciliations.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities, providing valuable insights to aid decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and liaise with external auditors.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency.
- Provide support for ad hoc financial projects as required.
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA etc) with a university degree and a minimum of three years post qualification experience
- Good knowledge of accounting software (ideally MS Business Central) and MS Office with advanced Excel skills. Experience of MS SharePoint, Power BI/Power Pivot would also be beneficial.
- Mauritian tax experience will be advantageous
- Big six audit experience is essential
